Medicina Clínica (English Edition)

eISSN: 2387-0206

Launched in 1943, Medicina Clínica is a fortnightly journal aimed at the promotion of clinical research and practice among internal medicine and other specialists. The key characteristics of Medicina Clínica are the scientific and methodological rigor of its manuscripts, the topicality of its contents, and, especially, its practical focus with highly useful information for clinical practice. Medicina Clínica is predominantly interested in publishing original research manuscripts, which are rigorously selected according to their quality, originality, and interest, and also in continued medical education-oriented manuscripts, which are commissioned by the journal to relevant authors (Editorials, Reviews, and Diagnosis and Treatment). These manuscripts contain updated topics with a major clinical or conceptual relevance in modern medicine. The journal adheres to the standards of academic research publications in all aspects including peer-review and ethical principles. Mental Health & Prevention

eISSN: 2212-6570

Considering that insights in primary and secondary prevention of mental disorders are becoming ever increasingly important in health care, economics and health political aspects, Mental Health & Prevention serves as a peer reviewed and multidisciplinary communication platform, covering all aspects of mental health and its preservation. Mental Health & Prevention publishes reviews, original research and other papers related to research on prevention to support the psychological development of human beings from early childhood across the life span until the old age. The journal focuses on preventive strategies of mental disorders in childhood and adolescence, antisocial and violent behavior, drug addiction, mood or stress-related disorders, eating- and sleep disorders, psychoses and schizophrenia, and dementia.Within its broad scope the journal also welcomes articles from other subject fields like social, occupational and somatic medicine, epidemiology and health service research.

Mental Health and Physical Activity

ISSN: 1755-2966eISSN: 1878-0199

Mental Health and Physical Activity is an international forum for scholarly reports on any aspect of relevance to advancing our understanding of the relationship between mental health and physical activity. Manuscripts will be considered for publication which deal with high quality research, comprehensive research reviews, and critical reflection of applied or research issues. The journal is open to the use of diverse methodological approaches. Reports of practice will need to demonstrate academic rigour, preferably through analysis of programme effectiveness, and go beyond mere description. The aims of Mental Health and Physical Activity are:(1) To foster the inter-disciplinary development and understanding of the mental health and physical activity field; (2) To develop research designs and methods to advance our understanding; (3) To promote the publication of high quality research on the effects of physical activity (interventions and a single session) on a wide range of dimensions of mental health and psychological well-being (e.g., depression, anxiety and stress responses, mood, cognitive functioning and neurological disorders, such as dementia, self-esteem and related constructs, psychological aspects of quality of life among people with physical and mental illness, sleep, addictive disorders, eating disorders), from both efficacy and effectiveness trials; (4) To promote high quality research on the biophysical and psychosocial mechanisms involved to help our understanding of the link between physical activity and mental health, and guide intervention development; (5) To provide an evidence-based source for professionals working in the field of mental health and a forum to consider service delivery issues.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Metabolic Engineering

ISSN: 1096-7176eISSN: 1096-7184

Aims and Scope:Metabolic Engineering (MBE) is devoted to the publication of original research papers on the directed modulation of metabolic pathways for metabolite over production or the improvement of cellular properties. Papers describing native pathway engineering and synthesis of heterologous pathways for converting microorganisms into microbial cell factories are also welcome.Experimental, computational, and modelling approaches for the elucidation of metabolic pathways and their manipulation by genetic, media, or other environmental means are presented. Efficient probing of metabolic pathways requires the application of appropriate methods from molecular biology and biochemistry, along with modeling and data analysis techniques from engineering. MBE provides a forum for communicating such interdisciplinary research, as well as relevant results in the constituent areas of biochemistry, molecular biology, applied microbiology, cellular physiology, cellular nutrition in health and disease, and biochemical engineering.Types of papers:Original Research Papers, Review Papers.
