Journal of Patient Safety and Infection Control(JPSIC), the official journal of Hospital Infection Society-India, is a peer-reviewed publication aimed at spreading awareness, encouraging and augmenting research and education in the field of healthcare associated infections and usage of antimicrobials in human infections and diseases in order to take Patient Safety and Infection Control to highest levels.

In the Indian scenario where there is dearth of published scientific data regarding infection prevention aspects, this journal provides an official forum for experts in various specialties to provide strategies towards implementation of best practices for patient safety, infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship and management. It helps in formulating guidelines about creating a safe environment for healthcare workers, updating about biomedical waste management as well as by formulating strategies for safety of community and environment from hazards due to healthcare activities and vice versa.
