The Journal of Neurotherapy: Investigations in Neuromodulation, Neurofeedback and Applied Neuroscience provides an integrated, multidisciplinary perspective on clinically relevant research, treatment, and public policy for neuromodulation techniques and applied neuroscience. The Journal reviews important findings in these fields with a focus on electroencephalography (EEG), neurofeedback, quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG), repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) with a focus on treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders. The Journal of Neurotherapy: Investigations in Neuromodulation, Neurofeedback and Applied Neuroscience provides relevant findings from the diversity of disciplines involved in the study of neuromodulation and applied neuroscience and offers interpretive commentary to clarify this information. The only magazine-sized journal in this area that prints in color, the journal draws from expertise inside and outside of the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR) to deliver material which integrates the diverse aspects of the field.

The Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids publishes review articles, research papers, and Letters to the http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-non-crystalline-solids/editorial-board/Editor on amorphous and glassy materials, including inorganic, organic, polymeric, hybrid and metallic systems. Papers on partially glassy materials, such as glass-ceramics and glass-matrix composites, and papers involving the liquid state are also included in so far as the properties of the liquid are relevant for the formation of the solid.

In all cases the papers must demonstrate both novelty and importance to the field, by way of significant advances in understanding or application of non-crystalline solids; in the case of Letters, a compelling case must also be made for expedited handling.

The journal publishes "Letters to the Editor" with a guarantee of publication within 3 months after acceptance of the manuscript.

The Journal of Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics serves as an international publication organ for new ideas, insights and results on non-equilibrium phenomena in science, engineering and related natural systems. The central aim of the journal is to provide a bridge between science and engineering and to promote scientific exchange on* newly observed non-equilibrium phenomena* analytic or fuzzy models for their interpretation* new methods to describe non-equilibrium phenomena.The journal addresses mechanical, chemical, and biochemical engineers, physicists, chemists and applied mathematicians, as well as computational scientists. Contributions should present novel approaches to analyzing, modeling and optimizing processes of engineering relevance such as transport processes of mass, momentum and energy, separation of fluid phases, reproduction of living cells, and many others. Highest priority is given to contributions which add to the basic understanding of non-equilibrium phenomena in engineering and related natural systems.The journal publishes scholarly research papers, invited review articles, short communications and “comment-and-reply-notes” on papers already published.

The Journal of Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics publishes research on flowing soft matter systems. Submissions in all areas of flowing complex fluids are welcomed, including polymer melts and solutions, suspensions, colloids, surfactant solutions, biological fluids, gels, liquid crystals and granular materials. Flow problems relevant to microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip, nanofluidics, biological flows, geophysical flows, industrial processes and other applications are of interest.

Subjects considered suitable for the journal include the following (not necessarily in order of importance):

  • Theoretical, computational and experimental studies of naturally or technologically relevant flow problems where the non-Newtonian nature of the fluid is important in determining the character of the flow. We seek in particular studies that lend mechanistic insight into flow behavior in complex fluids or highlight flow phenomena unique to complex fluids. Examples include

    • Instabilities, unsteady and turbulent or chaotic flow characteristics in non-Newtonian fluids,
    • Multiphase flows involving complex fluids,
    • Problems involving transport phenomena such as heat and mass transfer and mixing, to the extent that the non-Newtonian flow behavior is central to the transport phenomena,
    • Novel flow situations that suggest the need for further theoretical study,
    • Practical situations of flow that are in need of systematic theoretical and experimental research. Such issues and developments commonly arise, for example, in the polymer processing, petroleum, pharmaceutical, biomedical and consumer product industries.
    This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive.

  • Mathematical analysis of equations relevant to non-Newtonian flows
  • Numerical methods suited to problems in flowing complex fluids
  • Development of rheological constitutive equations for non-Newtonian fluids from both continuum and microstructural starting points.
  • Experimental assessment of predictions from rheological constitutive equations.
  • Devices and methodologies for rheological measurements at both macro- and microscopic levels, including microrheology.

Overly abstract, formalistic or artificial developments will not be welcomed.
