The areas of environmental science and environmental (bio)technology are broad, multidisciplinary, fast growing and extremely active. The last twenty years have seen an overwhelming accumulation of data, and a panoply of important discoveries. It is almost impossible to keep up to date on current developments in these areas, let alone judge their long-term significance. The purpose of Reviews in Environmental Science and Bio/Technology is twofold: to keep the reader up-to-date on achieved advances in the multidisciplinary and rapidly expanding fields of environmental science and biotechnology, and to offer perspectives on where these developments will lead. The journal comprises of two distinct peer-reviewed sections: one offering Mini-Reviews expressing scientific opinions on topics and trends, and another presenting comprehensive critical evaluations (Reviews) of research efforts and technical realizations in particular areas. Reviews in Fish Biology and Fisheries is a quarterly international journal which publishes review articles on varied aspects of fish and fisheries biology. The contents include evolutionary biology, zoogeography, taxonomy, including biochemical taxonomy and stock identification, genetics and genetic manipulation, physiology, functional morphology, behavior, ecology, fisheries assessment, development, exploitation and conservation. Coverage can include articles on any field of fish biology where the emphasis is placed on adaptation, function or exploitation in the whole organism.
Reviews in Fish Biology and Fisheries also offers details of relevant papers delivered at recent conferences, book reviews and correspondence arising from the reviews.

The work of publishing houses like Freund Publishing house ltd, an Israel publishing house, is quite complicated. The editor chooses from the "manuscripts" submitted to the publishing house, previously published works, works published in other languages, or command works, works that fit the editorial line of its collections. After any corrections, it shall communicate the text to a printer in suitable technical characteristics of the book and the number of copies to print.

Reviews in Mathematical Physics fills the need for a review journal in the field, but also accepts original research papers of high quality. The review papers - introductory and survey papers - are of relevance not only to mathematical physicists, but also to mathematicians and theoretical physicists interested in interdisciplinary topics. Original research papers are not subject to page limitations provided they are of importance to this readership. It is desirable that such papers have an expository part understandable to a wider readership than experts. Papers with the character of a scientific letter are usually not suitable for RMP.

Virologists are acquisitive investigators who wish to apply the latest scientific developments to their own work. The aim of Reviews in Medical Virology is therefore to provide them with articles reviewing conceptual or technological advances in diverse areas of virology. Topics covered will include the molecular biology, cell biology, replication, pathogenesis, immunology, immunization, epidemiology, diagnosis or treatment of viruses of medical importance.

The enormously successful series is now published jointly by the Mineralogical Society of America and The Geochemical Society. Volumes 1-38 were published as "Reviews in Mineralogy" (ISSN 0275-0279). Volumes 1-6 originally appeared as "Short Course Notes" (no ISSN). The name was changed to "Reviews in Mineralogy and Geochemistry" (RiMG) (ISSN 1529-6466) starting with Volume 39. Paul Ribbe was sole editor for volumes 1-41. He was joined by Jodi J. Rosso as series editor for volumes 42-53 in the RiMG series submitted through the Geochemistry Society. With his retirement, Jodi Rosso is now the sole editor for the series.

Reviews in Physics is an open access Journal, publishing review papers on topics in all areas of (applied) physics. The journal provides a platform for researchers who wish to summarize a field of physics research and share this work as widely as possible. The published papers provide an overview of the main developments on a particular topic, with an emphasis on recent developments, and sketch an outlook on future developments. The journal focuses on short review papers (max 15 pages) and these are freely available after publication. All submitted manuscripts are fully peer-reviewed and after acceptance a publication fee is charged to cover all editorial, production, and archiving costs.
