Plant Direct is an open access, sound science journal for the plant sciences that gives prompt and equal consideration to papers reporting work dealing with a variety of subjects. Topics include but are not limited to genetics, biochemistry, development, cell biology, biotic stress, abiotic stress, genomics, phenomics, bioinformatics, physiology, molecular biology, and evolution. A collaborative journal launched by ASPB, SEB, and Wiley, Plant Direct publishes papers submitted directly to the journal as well as those referred from a select group of the societies’ journals.

Plant Disease is the leading international journal for rapid reporting of research on new diseases, epidemics, and methods of disease control. It covers basic and applied research, which focuses on practical aspects of disease diagnosis and treatment. Monthly feature articles summarize current information on specific diseases. The popular Disease Notes section contains brief and timely reports of new diseases, new disease outbreaks, new hosts, and pertinent new observations of plant diseases and pathogens worldwide.The online version of Plant Disease includes interpretive summaries and e-Xtra articles that include supplemental data tables and additional figures and photos as well as color versions of illustrations shown in black and white in the print journals.Plant Disease ranked in the top 10 journals for impact on research and teaching efforts in the crop sciences according to Literature of Crop Science, a project published by Cornell University press. Plant Ecology publishes original scientific papers that report and interpret the findings of pure and applied research into the ecology of vascular plants in terrestrial and wetland ecosystems. Empirical, experimental, theoretical and review papers reporting on ecophysiology, population, community, ecosystem, landscape, molecular and historical ecology are within the scope of the journal.  The journal publishes peer-reviewed Research Manuscripts (maximum length of 6000 words) and Research Letters (maximum length of 2500 words, maximum of four tables/figures), reviews and special issues by submission and by invitation. Long monographs (up to 9000 words) may be accepted by the Editor-in-Chief where a case is made by the authors  in relation to work of the highest quality. Research Letters can report on any area within the Scope of the journal, but are particularly sought in relation to topical issues in plant ecology, especially pertaining to theory and methodology. Plant Ecology and Diversity is an international journal and the new forum of the Botanical Society of Scotland for communicating results and ideas in plant science. All areas of plant biology relating to ecology, evolution and diversity are of interest, including those which explicitly deal with today's highly topical themes, such as biodiversity, conservation and global change. Submissions concerning cold environments world-wide are particularly welcome. Plant Ecology and Diversity considers for publication original research articles, short communications, reviews, and scientific correspondence that explore thought provoking ideas. Unique to Plant Ecology and Diversity is its Scottish section, publishing contributions on aspects of botany and plant ecology particular to Scotland. The journal is open to reporting 'negative results' and 'repeat experiments' that test ecological theories experimentally, in theoretically flawless and methodologically sound papers. Plant Ecology and Evolution is a diamond open access journal that publishes papers about ecology, phylogenetics, and systematics of all plant groups (including algae, fungi, and myxomycetes), also covering related fields such as comparative and developmental morphology, conservation biology, evolution, phytogeography, pollen and spores, population biology, and vegetation studies. Submissions concerning (sub)tropical Africa are particularly welcome.

Plant Foods for Human Nutrition (formerly Qualitas Plantarum) is an international journal presenting reports of original research and critical reviews concerned with the improvement and evaluation of the nutritional quality of plant foods for humans, as they are influenced by: Biotechnology, including molecular biology and genetic engineering Food science and technology Functional, nutraceutical or pharma foods Other nutrients and non-nutrients inherent in plant foods

Plant Gene publishes papers that focus on the regulation, expression, function and evolution of genes in plants, algae and other photosynthesizing organisms (e.g., cyanobacteria), and plant-associated microorganisms.

Plant Gene encourages http://ees.elsevier.com/plantgene/submission of novel manuscripts that present a reasonable level of analysis, functional relevance and/or mechanistic insight. Plant Gene also welcomes papers that have predominantly a descriptive component but improve the essential basis of knowledge for subsequent functional studies, or provide important confirmation of recently published discoveries.

Plant Growth Regulation is an international journal publishing original articles in English on all aspects of plant growth and development. Published papers report on question-based research using hormonal, physiological, environmental, genetical, biophysical, developmental or molecular approaches to the study of plant growth regulation. Emphasis is placed on papers presenting the results of original research. The journal occasionally presents reviews on important topics. The journal is listed in Current Contents/ Agriculture, Biology & Environmental Sciences, and indexed/abstracted in numerous other outlets.

Plant Molecular Biology is an international journal dedicated to rapid publication of original research in all areas of plant biology. Since its founding in 1981, it has continually ranked among the leading journals. Coverage addresses important biological problems of broad interest. Coverage includes research in comparative genomics, functional genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, biochemical and regulatory networks, and biotechnology. Preference is given to publication of results that provide significant new insights into biological problems and that advance the understanding of structure, function, mechanisms, or regulation. An International Journal of Molecular Biology, Genomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics, and Bioinformatics DESCRIPTION The scope of the journal of Plant Molecular Biology Reporter has expanded to keep pace with new developments in molecular biology and the broad area of genomics. The journal now solicits papers covering myriad breakthrough technologies and discoveries in molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and other ‘omics’, as well as bioinformatics.
