ONLY INVITED AUTHORS CAN PUBLISH IN THIS E-BOOK!
The aim of this Series is to highlight the latest international findings and advances in plant pathology and plant disease management, and plant pathology topic specialist, Congress and Workshop organisers, coordinators of broad International projects are invited to consult with the Series Editor regarding their topic’s potential inclusion in the series.
Under an agreement with Springer, a Book Series based on the invited lectures at the 9th International Congress of Plant Pathology ICPP2008, Plant Pathology in the 21st Century was initiated and four books covering key themes were published. Following on the procedure for the 2008 Congress, three additional volumes in the series were published on themes which were key topics at ICPP2013, held in Beijing, China, while two new books are almost ready from ICPP 2018 held in Boston (SA). Moreover, more books were published in between Congresses, covering up-to-date topics in plant pathology. In light of the initial seven volumes’ success, the ISPP has now concluded an agreement with Springer to broaden the scope of the Series and publish additional volumes.
The goal of the International Society for Plant Pathology (ISPP; www.isppweb.org) is to promote the global advancement of plant pathology and the dissemination of essential information on plant diseases and plant health management. This book Series looks of particular interest due to the upcoming International Year of Plant Health (2020).
Science Partner Journal Plant Phenomics is an online-only Open Access journal published in affiliation with the State Key Laboratory of Crop Genetics & Germplasm Enhancement, Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) and distributed by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). The mission of Plant Phenomics is to publish novel research that will advance all aspects of plant phenotyping from the cell to the plant population levels using innovative combinations of sensor systems and data analytics. Plant Phenomics aims also to connect phenomics to other science domains, such as genomics, genetics, physiology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, statistics, mathematics, and computer sciences. Plant Phenomics should thus contribute to advance plant sciences and agriculture/forestry/horticulture by addressing key scientific challenges in the area of plant phenomics.
Plant Physiology® (ISSN 0032-0889, online 1532-2548) is published monthly, in three volumes per year, by the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB), and is produced by Dartmouth Journal Services, Waterbury, VT. The online journal is the journal of record.Established in 1926, Plant Physiology® is an international journal devoted to physiology, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, genetics, biophysics, and environmental biology of plants. Plant Physiology and Biochemistry publishes original theoretical, experimental and technical contributions in the various fields of plant physiology (biochemistry, physiology, structure, genetics, plant-microbe interactions, etc.) at diverse levels of integration (molecular, subcellular, cellular, organ, whole plant, environmental). Opinions expressed in the journal are the sole responsibility of the authors and publication does not imply the editors' agreement.Plant Physiology and Biochemistry publishes several types of articles: Reviews, Papers and Short Papers. Articles for Reviews are either invited by the editor or proposed by the authors for the editor's prior agreement. Reviews should not exceed 40 typewritten pages and Short Papers no more than approximately 8 typewritten pages. The fundamental character of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry remains that of a journal for original results.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Plant Science will publish in the minimum of time, research manuscripts as well as commissioned reviews and commentaries recommended by its referees in all areas of experimental plant biology with emphasis in the broad areas of genomics, proteomics, biochemistry (including enzymology), physiology, cell biology, development, genetics, functional plant breeding, systems biology and the interaction of plants with the environment.Manuscripts for full consideration should be written concisely and essentially as a final report. The main criterion for publication is that the manuscript must contain original and significant insights that lead to a better understanding of fundamental plant biology. Papers centering on plant cell culture should be of interest to a wide audience and methods employed result in a substantial improvement over existing established techniques and approaches. Methods papers are welcome only when the technique(s) described is novel or provides a major advancement of established protocols.Plant Science is not a publication vehicle for preliminary observations, for studies that are merely confirmatory of results accomplished in other plant systems, or that are addressed only to a specialized readership. Submitted manuscripts describing studies of preliminary nature, that are merely confirmatory in scope or of limited scope and interest to the general readership of the journal will be returned without formal review. As a general policy, the journal will no longer consider manuscripts just describing the cloning, sequencing and expression patterns of gene sequences that have been identified and characterized in other plant species, expression of a protein without proper characterization of the recombinant product and native form, the isolation, purification and characterization of enzymes extensively analyzed in other plants, description of molecular markers and plant genetic diversity without any relevant biological information, cell culture and/or transformation of plant species (or closely related species) already established in the literature and basic transcriptomic approaches with no further relevant functional characterization of genes of interest.
Aims & Scope: Plant Signaling & Behavior, a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal published monthly online, publishes original research articles and reviews covering the latest aspects of signal perception and transduction, integrative plant physiology, and information acquisition and processing.
Plant Signaling & Behavior serves as a platform for publication of data related to different levels of biological organization: from molecules, via protein complexes, membranes, organelles, cells, organs, whole plants, up to plant communities. This journal also covers studies on communication and interactions of plants with viruses, bacteria, nematodes, fungi, insects, and predatory animals. These interactions can be pathogenic, symbiotic or predatory.
Plant Signaling & Behavior provides a forum for the integration of molecular biology with physiology, phenomenology, and behavior of individual organisms, up to the system analysis of whole plant societies and ecosystems. This integrative view will allow our understanding of communicative plants in their whole complexity.
The goal is to foster communication and rapid exchange of information through timely publication of important results using traditional as well as electronic formats. The overriding criteria for publication in Plant Signaling & Behavior are originality, scientific merit and general interest. Authors may submit to the journal online at http://psb.msubmit.net/cgi-bin/main.plex
Plant Species Biology is published three times a year by The Society for the Study of Species Biology. Plant Species Biology publishes research manuscripts in the fields of population biology, pollination biology, evolutionary ecology, biosystematics, co-evolution, and any other related fields in biology. In addition to full length papers, the journal also includes short research papers as notes and comments. Invited articles may be accepted or occasion at the request of the Editorial Board. Manuscripts should contain new results of empirical and/or theoretical investigations concerning facts, processes, mechanisms or concepts of evolutionary as well as biological phenomena. Papers that are purely descriptive are not suitable for this journal. The journal is introducing 'Life history monographs of Japanese plant species'. The journal is dedicated to minimizing the time between submission, review and publication and to providing a high quality forum for original research in Plant Species Biology.
